The Women’s Resource Center works very closely with the Child Advocacy Center (CAC). Working together at the CAC as a team has helped create a better understanding of each agency’s functions and how we can better cooperate to provide better services.
Children, adolescents and teens meet with a licensed professional to discuss immediate and ongoing issues, to develop problem solving and coping skills.
Pre-Teen (Tween) Support Group– for pre-teens ages 10-12 living with domestic violence, separation or divorce issues in their family. Topics include friendships, conflict-resolution, bulling, self-esteem, and coping and communication skills.
WRC staff provides trainings, workshops, and education to students, faculty, parents, law enforcement or community members on topics such as bullying & teasing, internet/social networking and texting safety, healthy relationships and dating violence, stereotyping, empowerment and self esteem, conflict resolution, friendship, life skills, stalking, human trafficking assistance and accompaniment through educational, employment, medical, CPS, DSS and other personal issues or concerns.
