Help support
Women's services in your community by becoming a trained volunteer at the Women's Resource
Center. Women supporting Women promotes growth, mutual
strength and personal enrichment!
WHAT YOU CAN DO:
- Answer the 24-hour domestic violence/rape/sexual assault
hotline evenings and weekends
- Respond to crisis calls by meeting victims at emergency
room
- Serve as a receptionist, answer our telephones during the
day and some evenings
- Provide friendship to shelter residents during weekend
periods
- Childcare at the center and shelter
- Fundraising events
- Clerical and computer work (typing, photocopying,
bookkeeping, etc.)
- Research and special projects and more
WE CAN OFFER YOU:
- Professional training and orientation sessions
- Supervision with staff
- On-going in-service meetings
- The satisfaction of working with other volunteers
